Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal Admitted To Hospital In Kochi

‘Barroz,’ the directorial debut of Mohanlal, is set to be released on October 2, coinciding with the start of the nine-day Navratri festival.

Veteran actor Mohanlal has been admitted to a hospital in Kochi after experiencing high-grade fever, breathing difficulties, and muscle pain. According to an official medical statement, the 64-year-old actor is suspected to be suffering from a viral respiratory infection. He has been advised to avoid public interactions for the next five days and is following a prescribed medication regimen. The hospital’s statement was shared by industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

Health Issues After Filming

Mohanlal’s health reportedly deteriorated after returning to Kochi from Gujarat, where he had been working on the shoot for ‘L2: Empuraan’ and the post-production of his directorial debut, ‘Barroz.’ Fortunately, recent medical updates indicate that he is recovering well and remains under observation.

Upcoming Release of ‘Barroz’

‘Barroz,’ the directorial debut of Mohanlal, is set to be released on October 2, coinciding with the start of the nine-day Navratri festival. The film was originally scheduled for release on March 28, 2024, but was postponed due to delays in post-production. Earlier this year, the film’s team, including Mohanlal, received a legal notice from a German-based Malayali writer alleging copyright infringement, though these allegations were not addressed publicly by the team.
