New Delhi: On February 25, aspiring director Joseph Manu James passed away in a private hospital in Aluva, Kerala’s Ernakulam. On Sunday, February 26, at 3 p.m., his funeral was held at Ernakulam. He was 31. The physicians claim that he was admitted after having pneumonia diagnosed but ultimately passed away from hepatitis. Nancy Rani, his first film as a filmmaker, is short to be released.
Manu James passes away
On February 25, Manu James passed suddenly at Rajagiri hospital, where he was receiving hepatitis treatment. On February 26, he was buried at the Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdeacon Church in Kuravilangad.
The Malayalam film industry was shocked by his unexpected death. Ahaana Krishna and Arjun Ashokan star in his first movie, Nancy Rani. In just a few days, the movie is set to be released.

When Ahaana learned of his passing, she was devastated. Taking to her Instagram Story, she wrote, “Rest in peace Manu! This shouldn’t have happened to you! Aju Varghese condoled his demise and wrote, “Gone too soon brother.”
About Manu James
In the film I Am Interested in director Sabu James, Manu made his acting debut as a young child. In 2004, the movie was screened in theatres. Years later, he contributed as an assistant and co-director to numerous Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam films.
Celebrities who paid respect to the filmmaker included Sreenivasan, Lal, Lena, and Indrans, among others.
