New Delhi: On November 15 at 4:09 am, Superstar Krishna, one of the renowned performers in the Telugu cinema industry, passed away. On November 14, he experienced severe cardiac arrest, and a ventilator was installed. The actor was 79 years old. The initial announcement following Krishna’s passing was made by the Ghattamaneni family. Krishna’s funeral and final rites won’t be disclosed until more information is available.

Official statement 

After hearing Superstar Krishna’s death news, the entire Tollywood industry is in shock. Many actors including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nani, Jr NTR took to social media to pay their tributes.

In response to Krishna’s passing, Mahesh Babu and the rest of the Ghattamaneni family issued a statement. Their statement read, “It is with the deepest grief that we inform you of the passing of our dearest Krishna garu. He was a superstar in so many ways beyond the movie screen…guided by love, humility and compassion. He will live on through his work, through us, and the many lives he influenced. He loved us more than anything and we will miss him more with each passing day. But as they say, goodbyes aren’t forever. Until we meet again — The Ghattamaneni Family (sic).”

About Superstar Krishna

One of the most renowned superstars in Indian film history was Krishna, affectionately known as Superstar by his followers. He was one of the Telugu cinema industry’s top-paid actors between the 1960s and the 1980s. He was a trendsetter in introducing new technology and genres in addition to performing and producing movies and received the Padma Bhushan award in 2009 in recognition of his work in Telugu films.
