Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for hit films like Vikram and Leo, is now stepping into acting with Arun Matheswaran’s upcoming drama DC. The movie also stars Wamiqa Gabbi and was announced by Sun Pictures on Saturday along with an intense first teaser.
The teaser shows Lokesh as Devdas, a tough-looking man with blood on his face and a gun in his hand, walking through a dark corridor. Then it shifts to Wamiqa Gabbi as Chandra, who is seen getting ready to meet someone. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment when Devdas and Chandra finally face each other, giving a glimpse of the tension and emotion the film promises.
DC is slated for a summer 2026 theatrical release, with additional details about the storyline, supporting cast, and crew expected soon.

Meanwhile, Wamiqa Gabbi was last seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Bhool Chuk Maaf, which received a mixed response from audiences. She will next appear in Vikas Bahl’s Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Jaya Bachchan.
