Malayalam cinema has produced another intriguing movie, ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra’, which is a superhero film. The movie revolves around a young woman who gains mystical skills while facing personal hurdles. She embraces her superpowers to save the world when evil surfaces. ‘Lokah’ has received an amazing response from the audience and has been showing a good response at the box office.

The opening of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has been impressive at the box office. On Day 1 (Thursday), the film earned Rs 2.7 crore, all attributed to the Malayalam version. Day 2 (Friday) saw collections rise to Rs 4 crore, with the Malayalam version contributing Rs 3.65 crore and the Tamil version Rs 0.35 crore, marking a 48.15% jump from the previous day. The momentum continued on Day 3 (Saturday), as the film raked in Rs 7.6 crore, Rs 5.8 crore from Malayalam, Rs 0.6 crore from Tamil, and Rs 1.2 crore from Telugu registering a massive 90% growth over Friday. Day 4 (Sunday) brought in Rs 10.1 crore, with Rs 7.4 crore from Malayalam, Rs 1.1 crore from Tamil, and Rs 1.6 crore from Telugu, showing a steady 32.89% increase.
Day 5 (Monday) indicate collections of Rs 6.65 crore, bringing the total box office tally for the first five days to approximately Rs 31.05 crore.
Early estimates for Day 6 (Tuesday) indicate collections of Rs 7.35 crore, bringing the total box office tally for the first five days to approximately Rs 38.95 crore.

Blending Indian folklore, modern sci-fi, and horror, Lokah Chapter 1 marks the beginning of the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe (WCU). The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen, Sandy, alongside Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, Raghunath Paleri, Vijayaraghavan, Nithya Shri, and Sarath Sabha.
Talking about its OTT release, the makers have not announced their official streaming partner yet. According to Indiatimes, ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ will reportedly release on Netflix after its theatrical run. Dulquer Salmaan’s previously produced movies ‘Kurup’ and ‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ have also been released on Netflix.
