Singer Liam Payne, who rose to fame as a member of music band ‘One Direction’ lost his life in a tragic incident by falling from third floor of his hotel room. The incident took place on Wednesday in Argentina where he was reportedly staying with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy for some time. According to Argentine media reports, Liam landed in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina to attend former ‘One Direction’ bandmate and singer Niall Horan’s concert on October 2.
Hours before his tragic death, Liam had shared photos with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy on Snapchat. The couple had been dating for almost two years. Kate Cassidy is a London-based social media influencer and was dating the singer since October 2022. Kate in one video shared her love for Liam and said that she manifested a relationship with the singer. She revealed that she had drawn him when she was 10 years old. “I am the best manifester, and I’m going to show you why,” said Kate in a TikTok video. He was first spotted with Kate on October 2022 at a Halloween party. Their appearance had sparked dating rumours.
There were rumours about their breakup in 2023, but the couple continued to post about their relationship on Instagram. They were also spotted at Paris Fashion Week in March 2024. Kate used to post photos with Liam, from casual selfies to vacation pictures to red-carpet photos and offered the netizens a snippet of their relationship.

After months of their dating speculation, the couple had posed together at British Fashion Awards in London on December 2022. With this appearance they confirmed their relationship. After the event, Kate had posted pictures from Awards night and tagged Liam.
The couple was then spotted together at various events like singer Louis Tomlinson’s documentary premiere, Wimbledon matches. She accompanied Liam at many birthday parties of his friends.
As per reports, Liam had defended Kate against the trolls which accused Kate of being after his money. He had taken the screenshot of the message and wrote, “Gotta say you could tell me anything and I couldn’t be turned.” He added, “I’ve never felt a love like I do for Katelyn. We make each other better people.”
According to reports, Kate had left Argentina on October 14, while Liam stayed back. In a TikTok video, she had mentioned that their five days trip ended up becoming two weeks. And she has flown back to Miami as she hates staying at one place for long.
No official statement has been released by Kate on her boyfriend’s demise so far.
