Amid reports over the declining health of veteran actor Dharmendra, iconic Bollywood actor Prem Chopra, 90, was also hospitalised at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital over the weekend. His son-in-law and actor Vikas Bhalla confirmed to India Today that his hospitalisation was simply a precautionary measure. He informed that the actor’s condition is due to his advancing age and that he is ‘doing fine’.
Prem Chopra ‘Not In A Critical State’
Bhalla added that the actor is expected to be discharged from the medical facility in a couple of days and there’s no cause for alarm. Chopra is under medical observation due to a heart condition compounded by a viral and lung infection, IANS reported. Dr. Jalil Parker, one of the physicians treating him, shared a health update. He said that the veteran actor was not in the ICU but in a regular hospital room.

Prem Chopra remains a beloved figure in Hindi cinema. He is among the most celebrated screen villains. He kicked off his career in the 1960s after moving to Bombay from Shimla. He gained stardom through iconic films such as ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’ (1964), ‘Teesri Manzil’ (1966), ‘Upkar’ (1967), and ‘Do Raaste’ (1969). His other popular works are ‘Nishan’, ‘Doli’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Kranti’, ‘Betaab’, ‘Loot’, and ‘Agent Vinod’.
Actor Dharmendra’s Health Update
Veteran actor Dharmendra has been hospitalised in a Mumbai hospital. However, several rumours and reports claimed that the actor is in a critical condition and is on a ventilator, even assuming the worst. While speaking to Hindustan Times, his wife, Hema Malini, has given a quick update regarding Dharmendra’s health. She shared, “We’re hoping for his speedy recovery.” Dharmendra has been hospitalised at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
