Veteran comedian of Punjabi film industry Jaswinder Bhalla has created a unique space in the hearts of the masses, with his unmatched comedy and excellent acting. He was born on 4 May 1960 in Boparai Kalan, Jalandhar (Punjab). He started his professional career in 1988 with ‘Chankara 88’ (comedy series) appearing with Bal Mukund Sharma. Later on, he moved to the silver screen with the movie ‘Dulla Bhatti’ and became a household name and created serious memories in many Punjabi movies, including the Chankara series.

According to media sources, Jaswinder Bhalla’s last rites are to take place on August 23, 2025 at 12 noon at Balongi crematorium, Mohali, with family members and friends and some of his fellow actors.
