New Delhi: In the Indian film industry, Aamir Khan is renowned for producing excellent movies. His movies are successful at the box office, therefore ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was anticipated to do that as well. The film’s producers and Aamir Khan himself had high expectations for it. However, the returns failed to meet the expectations.
However, when it was released, everyone was taken aback by its lowly performance on the box office. The audience described the plot of the movie as dull. Hence, the film is far away even from levelling the budget. The producers have lost crores of rupees.

Remake of the 1994 American blockbuster Forrest Gump
Advait Chandan is the director of the comedy-drama Laal Singh Chaddha, which was written by Eric Roth and Atul Kulkarni. It is a remake of the 1994 American movie Forrest Gump, which was based on the novel named the same. The Indian version was produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios. The star cast includes Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya (making his Hindi film debut), and Mona Singh. Aamir Khan plays the lead role in the movie.

This time Aamir Khan has returned to theaters after a gap of four years. His last film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ was a flop at the box office. Even after this, people had high expectations from ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, which the actor could not fulfill.
Aamir Khan also took a gap of four years during the film ‘Mangal Pandey’ and this movie too was badly beaten at the box office.
Image spoilt by ‘controversial’ statement?
Aamir Khan gave a statement in 2015, in which the actor said that many incidents in the country have worried him and his wife Kiran Rao. He even suggested him to leave the country.

There was a lot of ruckus in those days on this statement of the actor. It was only after this statement that there was protests against the release of his film ‘Dangal’. However, the film was a hit. But the anger of the people also came through during the time of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The rage of the people have sustained even after the release of the film.
