Comedian Kunal Kamra has once again grabbed attention by releasing a new video, this time by taking a direct dig at Finance Minister ‘Nirmala Sitharaman‘. In the video, he calls her as ‘saree wali didi’ and criticises her tax policies.
Kunal highlighted that corporate employees are paying more tax than corporate organisations themselves. He mocked the government’s policies by saying they claim it’s for ‘deshhit’ but where is the hit. (the benefit of the country).
Parody Song Slams The Government
In the video, he also sang a song criticising the government with lyrics:”Desh me itni mehengai sarkar ke saath aayi, logon ki lutne kamaai, saree wali didi aayi, salary churani ye hai aayi, middle class dabane ye hai aayi, popcorn khilane ye hai aayi, kehte hain isko Nirmala tai.”
He also accused that the government is moving towards dictatorship (tanashahi) and pointed out how people are suffering due to constant road works.
Kunal Kamra’s Last Controvery
The comedian was already facing severe backlash over a joke he made about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during a stand-up show. Following this, Shiv Sena workers vandalised the Habitat Comedy Club in Mumbai where his show was hosted.

Earlier this week, Kunal also shared another video mocking the vandalism. In it, he performs a parody song titled ‘Hum Honge Kangal Ek Din, Mann Mein Hai Andhvishwas, Desh Ka Satyanash’ while showing visuals of Shiv Sena workers damaging property.
