Comedian Varun Grover has criticized Mumbai Police’s decision to question audience members who attended Kunal Kamra’s controversial show. Following the uproar over Kamra’s jokes about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Grover shared his thoughts in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
He said, “So abhi mujhe pata chala hai ki police jo hai wo Kunal Kamra ki jo live audience hai usko bula rahi hai poochne ke liye ki usne show mein kya bola tha. I think ek comedian ki isse badi insult nahi ho sakti hai ki aap uske joke kisi aur se suno. Kharab ho jate hain. Aapko funny nahi lagenge. Toh agar aapko sach mein sunne hain toh i think Kunal Kamra ke show mein jao aur dekho vo kya bolta hai. But uske liye aapko show allow karna padega.”

He further added, “So i think that will be the best way. Aapko samajh bhi aayega ki voh kya bol raha hai aur funny bhi hoga.
