Police Summons Kunal For Questioning
Now, Kunal has been asked to appear before Mumbai Police for questioning regarding this on March 31. The complaint initially was filed by Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel. He was summoned by the Khar Police Station earlier also, but requested a week’s extension.
However, his request was not accepted and a second summons was issued to him requiring his presence before the investigating officer of the case.
Violence Erupts After Kamra’s Remarks
Due, to his parody song performance on Shinde members and supporters of Shinde’s Shiv Sena were very disturbed and reacted aggressively. Supporters vandalised the Habitat Comedy Club, where the performance was held and also vandalised nearby hotel. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also demolished a temporary structure at the club’s premises.
While Kunal faces a defamation case, police has also filed an FIR against 12 members of Shinde’s Yuva Sena for their involvement in the vandalism. However, now all the accused individuals have been granted bail.
Kamra Stands Firm, Refuses To Apologise
Even after facing scrutiny from all the sides, Kunal remains steady at his point. In a social media post, he made it clear that he will not apologise for his remarks. “I don’t fear this mob, and I will not be hiding under my bed, waiting for this to die down,” he tweeted.
Now, yesterday (26 March) he shared a new video, this time hinting at Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, referring her as ‘Saree waali didi’.
