Shah Rukh Khan has added another remarkable milestone to his legacy, a skyscraper in Dubai now bears his name. He launched the project, called Shahrukhz by Danube, at an event in Mumbai. Later, he posted a video on Instagram where he talked about how he started with very little, but his dreams and hard work helped him reach great heights. He said the tower is a reminder of what belief and effort can achieve.
In the promotional video, SRK narrates how some people are born into privilege while others begin their journey with a simple question,“Kuch badshah mehelon mein paida hote hai. Aur kuch ek simple sawal se. Kya ye munkin hai? (Some emperors are born in palaces. And some from a simple question. Is this possible?)”
He wrote, “It is humbling and deeply touching to have a landmark in Dubai carry my name and to be an integral part of the cityscape forever. Dubai has always been a special place for me- a city that celebrates dreams, ambition, and possibility.” He further added, “Shahrukhz by Danube – this Commercial tower is a symbol of how far belief and hard work can take you. I’m honoured to be associated with @DanubeProperties a brand that mirrors the same spirit of aspiration and excellence,” added the star.

The upcoming commercial tower spans one million square feet with over 40 amenities including clubs, outdoor lounges, gyms and even a helipad. Built across 56 storeys, the units will reportedly start at $460,000 (approx Rs 4.2 crore). Completion is targeted for 2029.
During the announcement event for the same in Mumbai, the actor was his witty self as he said that his mother would have been proud if she saw this. “What can I say? Meri maa zinda hoti toh boht khush hoti (If my mother were alive, she’d be very happy). I think it’s a very big honour, and now whenever I come to Dubai with my kids, I will point to the building and say, ‘Dekho papa ki building hai’ (Look, it’s our dad’s building). I think it’s wonderful, and I have been seeing the details for the project for the past couple of months; it’s all very beautiful and state of the art,” said Shah Rukh.
Meanwhile, SRK was last seen in Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki in 2023 and will soon headline Siddharth Anand’s action film King, co-starring Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan.
