Popular South Korean actor Ma Dong Seok will reportedly star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movie ‘Spirit’. He is said to be locking horns with Prabhas in the film. The makers are yet to officially confirm these reports, but Ma Dong Seok and Prabhas’ fans are over the moon.
Muko, a popular Korean entertainment page on X, shared, “This film, titled Spirit, is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and stars Prabhas, famous for Baahubali, in a dark-toned detective crime drama. It is only known that Ma Dong-seok’s role in this film is a character who stands in opposition to the one played by Prabhas.”
“Recently, Ma Dong-seok has been spotted posting on Instagram and other platforms, showing himself boarding a flight to India, and it turns out it was for this film,” it further added.
Ma Dong Seok, who is also known as Don Lee, is one of the most popular actors in South Korea. He gained fame after starring in movies like Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time and The Neighbor. However, his breakout role was in 2016 with the movie ‘Train To Busan’ alongside Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi.
His popular roles include The Roundup film series, Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days, The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil, The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos, Start-Up, and Ashfall.
He made his Hollywood debut with the movie ‘The Eternals’.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is confirmed to play the role of an IPS officer in the film. Earlier, Deepika Padukone was reportedly cast as the female lead in Spirit but was replaced by Triptii Dimri. The official release date of Spirit has not been announced yet. It also stars Vivek Oberoi.
