Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal is one of the biggest hits of 2023. Film’s Antagonist Bobby Deol has revealed that in the movie, his character Abrar was initially intended to share a kiss with Ranbir Kapoor’s character Rannvijay in the climax. However, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga decided to remove this sequence from the final version of the film.
Speaking with Quint, the actor said, “Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) said, ‘You’re fighting, and you suddenly kiss him, and then you don’t give up, and he kills you’. But Sandeep removed the kiss. There was a kiss. I think it might come on the uncut Netflix version. After saying all this, he said, ‘You’re mute’.”
Bobby Deol also opened up about the complex dynamic between his character and Ranbir Kapoor’s character in ‘Animal,’ describing it as a love-hate relationship between two brothers who harbor conflicting emotions. Despite their desire to harm each other, there is an underlying bond of love. He mentioned shooting the climax sequence with a background song that emphasizes the theme of love, adding a nuanced layer to their tumultuous relationship in the film.
