‘KGF’ is one of the biggest franchises of Indian cinema. ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’ and ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ became huge hits, both critically and commercially. The director now has confirmed the third part in the franchise. The confirmation of a third installment in the ‘KGF’ series by director Prashanth Neel and actor Yash is a significant development in Indian cinema, given the franchise’s remarkable box office records. Movie enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the next chapter in this gangster drama.
Prashanth Neel, preparing for the release of ‘Salaar,’ shared insights on the ‘KGF’ franchise. Confirming the third installment, he mentioned uncertainty about directing but assured Yash’s continued involvement, emphasizing that the announcement wasn’t made without substance.
He added “We already have a script. We had decided on the script before making the announcement. Yash is a very responsible individual and won’t put out things for just commercial reasons. We were sure to have things on paper before making an official announcement at the end of ‘KGF 2″
Prashanth is also preparing for his first project with Jr NTR. The working title of the the film is NTR 31. Speaking about the film, he said that after ‘Salaar’ he will start shooting for the movie in the latter half of 2024.
Prashanth Neel and Prabhas’ ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ is slated to release on December 22, just a day after Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki’. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu play pivotal roles in the film. The film is backed by Hombale Films, and the total budget of ‘Salaar’ is estimated to be around Rs 400 crore.
