In the film Akshay Kumar will be seen portraying C. Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who took on the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy . The trailer begins with the depiction of the horrific events of April 13, 1919 and it showcases the massacre’s impact across India. The story then shifts to the courtroom, where Sankaran Nair challenges the British authorities.
R Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, a British lawyer defending them, while Ananya Panday appears as a law student in the UK. The trailer teases an intense legal battle and highlighted the resilience of those who fought for justice.

Kesari Chapter 2 is the sequel to Kesari (2019), which depicted the Battle of Saragarhi. The first instalment starred Parineeti Chopra alongside Akshay Kumar. The sequel takes a different route, focusing on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and its legal aftermath. The film is set to hit cinemas on April 18, 2025.
