Akshay Kumar has returned to the big screen with his latest historical drama ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, which is set against the backdrop of Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. The movie has been receiving a good response from the audience and created huge hype ahead of its release. It is also expected to have a good box office earnings after several underwhelming releases of Akshay Kumar.
Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Prediction Day 1:
Kesari Chapter 2, according to the website Sacnilk, has already earned Rs 5.46 crore till now. The numbers will go higher as the movie has been getting good response. Meanwhile, Akshay’s last release ‘Sky Force’ earned Rs 12.25 crore on day 1. The final opening day earnings of Kesari Chapter 2 is yet to be out but the movie is likely to perform well, owing the success of Kesari and good response to the sequel.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar thanked PM Narendra Modi for recognising C Sankaran Nair’s contribution in India’s freedom struggle. He wrote, “Thank you Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for remembering the great Chettur Sankaran Nair ji and his contribution to our freedom struggle. It is so important that we as a nation, especially the younger generation values the great women and men who fought valiantly to ensure that we breathe in a free country! Akshay will essay the role of C Sankaran Nair in this film, based on Nair’s great grandson Raghu Palat’s book ‘The Case That Shook The Empire’. The movie also stars Ananya Panday, R Madhavan, Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day, Alexx O’Nell, Amit Sial, Mark Bennington and Krish Rao in the pivotal roles.
