After Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly, and Raman Raghav 2.0, Kennedy will be Anurag’s fourth film to be exhibited at the prestigious festival. Rahul will portray an insomniac ex-cop who was long believed to have passed away in the film.
Kennedy’s screenplay was written by Anurag Basu, who is well known for his experimental films that span several different genres. The director’s first film will be the noir film, following the February 3 release of Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.
Earlier, Anurag Kashyap also shared the poster of the film on his Instagram handle. He has previously shared two stills of the two leads and wrote, “Meet Kennedy and Charlie.”
Kennedy is made by Ranjan Singh and Kabir Ahuja of Good Bad Films and Zed Studios. In collaboration with Aamir Aziz and Boyblanck, Ashish Narula composed the soundtrack for the movie.
