Amitabh Bachchan’s quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 is currently airing a special kids edition, featuring young contestants who usually win hearts with their innocence and quick wit. But a recent episode grabbed attention for quite the opposite reason.
A young participant named Ishit Bhatt, a fifth grade student from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, went viral after his overconfident remarks and slightly rude tone toward Big B left viewers surprised.
As soon as Amitabh Bachchan began explaining the rules, Ishit interrupted him, saying, “Mere ko rules pata hai isliye aap mereko abhi rules samjhane mat baithna (I already know the rules, so you don’t need to explain them to me).”
Throughout the game, he kept insisting on locking answers before hearing all the options. However, when faced with a question related to the Ramayana, the young contestant quickly asked,“Arre option daalo (Give me the options).” Later, when he gave the answer, he shouted, “Sir ek kya uss mein chaar lock lagado, lekin lock karo (Sir, put not just one but four locks on it, but lock it.).”

Not saying this about the kid, but the parents. If you can't teach your kids humility, patience, and manners, they turn out to be such rude overconfident lot. Not winning a single rupee will surely pinch them for a long time.

Unfortunately, his answer turned out to be wrong, and he walked away without any prize money. Amitabh Bachchan gently remarked, “Kabhi kabhi bachhe overconfidence mein galti kar dete hai (Sometimes children make mistakes due to overconfidence).”
The clip has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions. While many criticized the boy’s tone and attitude, others defended him, saying he’s just a child who may have been nervous or overwhelmed.
Meanwhile, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 has also been in the news for its reportedly dipping TRP ratings.
