Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are set to collaborate on a second project, weeks after announcing their first one, Pinkvilla exclusively reports. The duo, who recently announced they’re collaborating “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” with Ananya Panday and directed by Sameer Vidhwans which is scheduled for Valentine’s Day 2026, are now collaborating on a grand comedy trilogy.
As per the sources, Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba will be directing this with Kartik as its lead and will be jointly produced by Johar and Mahaveer Jain. “Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has been developing this unique concept for a while, and Karan Johar was instantly on board after hearing the script. It has the potential to connect with a wide audience,” the source shared.
“It’s a lot more than just a comedy, as the team is looking to surprise the audience with the scale and visuals.” The project is currently in pre-production and is set to begin filming in September 2025. The makers are eyeing a late 2026 release, making it Kartik Aaryan’s second major film of the year, the source further added.
The young star already has projects lined up with Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3 scheduled for Diwali 2025, followed by Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri on Valentine’s Day 2026, and this high concept comedy with KJo.
