Karisma Kapoor’s two children, Kiaan and Samara, formally filed a case accusing Priya Sachdev, their father Sunjay Kapur’s wife after he divorced Karisma, for allegedly forging Sunjay Kapur’s will.
According to the legal team, the will contains multiple inaccuracies, including the incorrect spelling of Kiaan’s name and an error in Samara’s address.
Kiaan and Samara are represented by senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani.
According to a source very close to Karisma, the kids are determined to fight the battle for their father’s inheritance to the end.
“It wasn’t Karisma’s idea for her kids to take on their stepmother. It was Kiaan and Samara who decided to take Priya Sachdev to court. Now, the kids will see the legal battle to its logical conclusion. Karisma’s family, including her brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan, are with Karisma and her children,” says the source.
While all attention is riveted on billionaire Sunjay Kapur’s second and third wives, Karisma Kapoor and Priya Sachdev’s battle of the will, there is a third angle, the first wife in the story, who just may decide to claim her share.
Will Nandita Mahtani come forward to claim her share, that’s the Rs 30,000 crore question.
Nandita Mahtani, a celebrated socialite in the Bollywood circuit, married business tycoon Sunjay Kapur in 1996. They divorced in 2000.
Nandita has also dated Ranbir Kapoor, who is Sunjay Kapur’s second wife Karisma’s first cousin.
The inheritance plot seems to thicken with each passing week.
When Karisma and Sunjay Kapur divorced, Mr Kapur not only accused his wife of marrying him on the rebound, but he also accused her of spending his money. Karisma’s angry, protective father, Randhir Kapoor, stepped in to declare the Kapoor family doesn’t need her husband’s money.
