Karisma Kapoor Attends Sunjay Kapur’s Funeral In Delhi With Children Samaira And Kiaan, Pays Floral Tribute

Sunjay Kapur, Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, died of a heart attack during a polo match in London.

Sunjay Kapur, renowned industrialist and Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband passed away in London at the age of 53. His sudden demise came as a shock to his well-wishers. His funeral will be held in Delhi today after a delay due to citizenship issues.

His final rites were performed at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi, where Karisma and their children, Samaira and Kiaan, paid their final respects.

A video from the funeral surfaced online, showing Karisma in a white suit, offering a floral tribute to her late ex-husband. Samaira and Kiaan stood beside her during the emotional moment, while several family members were also present.

On June 22, a prayer meet will be held at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi between 4 to 5 PM.

Earlier in the day, Karisma was seen with her children at the Mumbai private airport en route to Delhi. A few hours later, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were also spotted heading to Delhi to join the family in mourning.

Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar and was known for being a prominent name in the automotive industry. He was also the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region, which worked in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and three Union Territories under his leadership.

For the unversed, Sunjay and Karisma in 2003 and they have two children. They divorced in 2016 but continued to co-parent their kids.
