New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor’s performance as the astute and humorous Pia in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots is one of her most beloved roles. Kareena played a medical student who falls in love with Aamir Khan’s Rancho in the film.
Kareena Kapoor’s look test images for 3 Idiots have been published over 14 years after the film’s release. On Saturday, Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films posted the photographs to their Instagram page, urging followers to remark.
The first shot showed Kareena in a green kurtaa and with her hair wrapped in a ponytail. The following image shows her in a Maharashtrian outfit consisting of a purple saree, some jewellery, a red top, and narrow spectacles. Kareena is shown in the third shot as a college student, wearing a pink top, a blue scarf, and carrying a bag over her shoulders. The fourth outfit, which had Kareena in a bob cut and a pink and white kurti, certainly did not make the cut. The look appears to have shifted to Anushka Sharma for PK. Finally, there’s Kareena as Pia, dressed in an orange shirt and a red helmet.

In the film, Pia was a medical student and the youngest of three children of Boman Irani’s Viru Sahastrabudhi, the engineering college dean. She falls in love with Aamir Khan’s Rancho, but he abandons her and his pals to fulfil a commitment he made years ago. Nonetheless, his friends and Pia eventually track him down in Ladakh, leading to a happy ending.
Kareena will next be seen in The Crew, The Birmingham Murders, and Suspect X’s Devotion. Her most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, also starred Aamir.
