The wait is finally over! On his 60th birthday, Shah Rukh Khan gave his fans the ultimate gift by unveiling the title of his highly anticipated film King. The reveal has set the internet ablaze, with fans celebrating the superstar’s comeback.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film marks their second collaboration after Pathaan and gave fans a thrilling first look at SRK’s bold new avatar. The title reveal was a special birthday gift for SRK fans.
Adding to the hype, Karan Johar shared the first look on his Instagram story and couldn’t hide his excitement. He wrote, “Is there a word that means “BEYOND BLOCKBUSTER”?? Let’s just settle for JUGGERNAUT!!! This KING is going to RULE!!!”
In the short teaser, Shan Rukh says a powerful line “Sau deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam KING” suggesting that the film will show him in a bold and intense new role.
Sharing the post, SRK wrote, “Sau deshon mein badnaam, duniya ne diya sirf ek hi naam – #KING #KingTitleReveal It’s Showtime! In Cinemas 2026.”
In the clip, SRK is using a King of Hearts card as a weapon, a fun reference to his title as Bollywood’s King of Hearts. With his silver hair, signature earrings, and bold new style, his look in KING hints at an exciting transformation that has everyone talking.
Apart from Shah Rukh, the movie reportedly stars Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. ‘KING’ is slated for a 2026 release.
