Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar recently took to social media to share an emotional note ahead of the new release of Dharma Productions. Reflecting on his journey, Karan wrote, “When I began producing films (once I stepped into Dharma as an active part of the company), in 2003 with Kal Ho Naa Ho — the idea was to empower filmmakers and storytellers… to pay it forward.”
Highlighting his commitment and his zeal to come up with new talent, Karan proudly announced that this new film marks the 24th debutant filmmaker introduced by Dharma Productions. In a subtle reply to the trollers, he quipped, “Trivia for trollers: 90% of them are ‘outsiders’.”
Karan Johar also the debut director and collaborative producer for their non-stop four- year-long journey with this film. From battling pandemic-related delays to unforeseen challenges, he explained: “The director did nothing else but put his head down and work relentlessly on his film”.

Not only this but he also praised the behind the camera team saying: “I am inspired by the team of actors and technicians who gave the film and the team so much consistent support and love.”
One Of Dharma’s Proudest Films
While acknowledging the unpredictability of box-office success, Karan confidently stated, “What I can say with all my heart is that this film is one of Dharma’s proudest films! I say this as a filmmaker and an audience.”
Concluding the post he wrote: “I pray for the team that the audience is coloured in the colour of their passion. See you at the movies!”
Fans were fast to react with some showing confusion about which film is this and some asking is this the post to hit back at trollers amid Naadaniyan reviews. Many fans are also guessing that the movie he is talking about is may be “Kesari 2”.
