New Delhi: The Top 10 Movies of 2022 list has been published by IMDb. Surprisingly, only one Hindi movie made it into the top 10. RRR by SS Rajamouli came in first, followed by The Kashmir Files by Vivek Agnihotri. The actual page views of the more than 200 million monthly visitors to IMDb are used to compile a list of the top movies and web series.
Top 10 movies of 2022 as per IMDb
1. RRR (Rise Roar Revolt)
On top of the list was SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which was recently nominated for two Golden Globe awards. The movie was a box office smash upon release, but it only gained international attention after being made available online.
2. The Kashmir Files
The contentious Vivek Agnihotri movie recently made headlines after IFFI jury chair Nadav Lapid referred to it as “propaganda” during the festival’s closing ceremony. The 1990s migration of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir was the subject of the movie, which was released earlier this year.
