New Delhi: Rishab Shetty's Kantara Telegu version has gone all out at the box office, breaking records in dubbing history. Kantara is keeping strong hold in Telugu states, despite the release of many other films. The Telegu states did not expect such tremendous earning with this kind of domination at the box office. 'Kantara' stands alone collecting more than 45 crores. 'Kantara' also beats Tamil big shot movies like Kamal Hasaan's 'Vikram' and mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan'. In the USA, the Telegu version crossed half a million dollars. It’s been 15 days since the movie is out in Telugu and to date, it has grossed a total of Rs. 45 crores worldwide.
As per the Hindi version, it released on October 14. On October 27, the movie made a respectable sum. The movie (in Hindi) reached another milestone when it finished 14 days in theatres. The Hindi dub of Kantara has outperformed Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1’s lifetime collection, according to trade expert Ramesh Bala. In a tweet, he wrote, “#Kantara Hindi has crossed #PS1 Hindi Lifetime Nett in India (sic).”
Kantara is anticipated to play in theatres for a longer period despite having Monster, Sardar, and Prince as rivals. In addition, Kantara earned the top spot on IMDb’s list of the 250 most popular movies currently being made in India. However, the Kannada version of the movie has already surpassed the $100 million mark! At the box office, it made a splash.
Kantara is written, directed and also acted by Rishab Shetty. The story revolves around the conflict between man and nature. Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, Pramod Shetty and Kishore were seen in supporting roles. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films.
