The release date of ‘Emergency,’ led by Kangana as actor, writer, director, and producer, was postponed last month due to the Lok Sabha Elections. The upcoming political drama is produced by Manikarnika Films Production and has faced several delays, originally set for November 24, 2023.
Emergency portrays a pivotal moment in India’s political history, starring Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik. Produced by Renu Pitti and Kangana and supported by Zee Studios, the film’s screenplay and dialogues are crafted by Ritesh Shah, with music composed by Sanchit Balhara.
Earlier, Kangana commented on the film. According to news agency ANI, she remarked, ‘Emergency is a pivotal and somber chapter from our history that young India must be aware of. It is an important narrative, and I extend my gratitude to my talented actors such as the late Satish ji, Anupam ji, Shreyas, Mahima, and Milind for joining me on this creative endeavor. I am thrilled to bring this extraordinary episode from India’s past to the silver screen. Jaihind!’
