Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai, debut film of Hrithik Roshan celebrates its 25th anniversary, the actor took to Instagram to share a personal trip down memory lane. He posted pictures of his old handwritten notes, revealing his thoughts and preparation process ahead of the movie’s release.
Handwritten Notes Reveal Actor’s Early Struggles
The notes, written 27 years ago, showcase Hrithik’s mindset as he prepared for his first film. One note, directed at himself, read: “One life. That’s it—only one life, one chance. Don’t f** it up, don’t care about small failures…Just keep going, don’t break.”* Another note emphasized his commitment to personal growth: “Need a lot of biceps for broader upper chest.” His notes also included motivational advice: “Trust your instincts, they won’t let you down.”
In his Instagram post, Hrithik Roshanadmitted how nervous he was before filming Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai. He wrote: “I remember how nervous I was. Still am when starting a movie.” Reflecting on the past, he added that despite the passage of time, the process of preparing for a movie hasn’t changed: “What’s changed? Absolutely nothing. Good thing? Bad thing? It’s just how it is. Only process remains.”

In addition to sharing his notes, Hrithik Roshan expressed gratitude for his journey in the film industry. “So much to be thankful for. So much to be grateful for. So much left to do,” he wrote. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Hrithik shared a heartfelt message: “The first page says ‘one day’ at the bottom. No such day happened, it never came. Or maybe it did, but I missed it because I was in prep.”
The Re-Release of Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai
To mark Hrithik’s silver jubilee in the film industry, Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai was recently re-released in theaters. Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the 2000 blockbuster also marked the debut of Ameesha Patel and featured Hrithik in a double role. The story follows Rohit, a singer murdered after witnessing a crime, and his lookalike Raj, who teams up with Sonia (Patel) to uncover the truth.
Hrithik will next be seen in War 2, the sequel to his 2019 action thriller, which also stars Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
