Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan has been basking in the success and gaining the limelight for his back-to-back hits like his 2024 period drama ‘Maharaj’ which premiered on Netflix, and now Loveyapa, starring alongside Khushi Kapoor, making it his first big-screen debut. He has been travelling to places with the star cast and family to promote the film, which is set to be released in a few days.
After gaining immense appreciation for his acting in Maharaj, he has shifted his genre and is now enjoying the release of his rom-com, Loveyapa. However, during promotions, some people trolled him for his dancing skills, to which he admitted that he was not the best dancer and stated that he didn’t mind the trolls and negative comments.
During his latest conversation with Money Control, when asked, Junaid talked about the negative comments he has received on social media regarding his dance moves. He mentioned that he has a team of publicists who help keep him updated on everything that’s going on online.
He then smiled and responded. “I think I am not a very good dancer, and people make fun of me for that. It is probably expected. I think it’s okay. I don’t particularly mind it so much.”
Talking about the trolls, he further added, “I think that beyond a point, you know, we are all trying to get our film out there as much as possible. As long as you know about the film and if it makes you watch the trailer, then it’s okay—you can make fun of me a little bit,”
During the same interview, the actor shared that he hasn’t really felt any pressure about the upcoming Friday release of his film. He explained that this is his first experience promoting a movie in such an active way, as he’s been attending events, travelling, and meeting lots of fans. He described the whole experience as exciting and highlighted the positive energy and enthusiasm they’ve been getting from the audience.
Junaid also mentioned that he saw the final version of his movie just a few days before it hit theatres, and he’s hopeful that viewers will enjoy it and will be able to connect with it. It is a romantic comedy film directed by Advait Chandan, stars Junaid and Khushi and features other notable actors like Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda, and Kunj Anand in important roles. Produced by AGS Entertainment and Phantom, the movie was released in theatres today, February 7, 2025.
