New Delhi: Joram, directed by Devashish Makhija and starring Manoj Bajpayee, will be presented at the 52nd Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) next month and the Sydney Film Festival the following week. The cast and crew of The Family Man flocked to social media to express their delight.

Manoj Bajpayee took to his Instagram to announce the news. He shared stills of the film and gave a subhead written, “Official Selection. Durban International Film Festival 2023.” He captioned, “#Joram continues to break boundaries, this time with its selection in the ‘official competition’ at the prestigious @durbaninternationalfilmfest. Our excitement knows no bounds!”
Joram is an unflinching psychological thriller set in Jharkhand. It discusses different social inequities and injustices experienced by the state’s native people. Zed Studios collaborated with Makhijafilm to develop the film.
Manoj Bajpayee plays the lead in the film, which also stars Zeeshan Ayyub, Smita Tambe, and Megha Mathur. Tanishtha Chatterjee and Rajshri Deshpande make cameo appearances.
