After being convicted in 2023 of misdemeanor assault and harassment charges against ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, actor Jonathan Majors has revealed that he is willing to return to his form in prominent film franchises.
In a recent Entertainment Weekly cover story promoting “Magazine Dreams,” Majors said he would be open to going back to Marvel, responding, “Yes. Yes, to both.” He said he would acknowledge that his performance between “action” and “cut” would be the same and further added, “there would be something different about it if I were to come back.”
But industry insider reports indicate that Marvel Studios shifted away from their original Kang plot, which had been building up to “Avengers: Kang Dynasty.” Indications are the studio has no immediate plans on returning Majors to re-enact his villainous role of Kang the Conqueror that was to serve as the next big bad after Josh Brolin’s Thanos.

It is said Majors informed TMZ he was “heartbroken” when he got this news.
His prospects may be somewhat brighter regarding the “Creed” franchise. Michael B. Jordan, director and star of “Creed III,” with Majors in the cast, said he “would love” to team with Majors again on “Creed IV” and future films.
This industry show of support was complicated later in the week when Rolling Stone ran a story claiming Majors had confessed to choking Jabbari in a 2022 fight, referencing what they termed an “unearthed audio recording.”
Before his legal troubles, Majors had quickly risen through Hollywood ranks, playing lead roles in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the “Creed” boxing series.
