Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi have teamed up for the third instalment of the popular courtroom comedy drama ‘Jolly LLB 3’. This time, both actors will go against each other as they return to the franchise, reprising the roles of Jollys.
Amid the massive buzz for ‘Jolly LLB 3’, the film has kicked off its theatrical run on a strong note and continued to perform well on its second day, setting the stage for a promising weekend at the box office.
Jolly LLB 3 Box Office Collection Day 2:
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s much-awaited courtroom drama Jolly LLB 3 has opened on a strong note at the box office. The film collected Rs 12.75 crore on its opening day (Friday) and showed impressive growth on its second day (Saturday), earning around Rs 20 crore as per early estimates. This takes the film’s two day total to Rs 32.75 crore, setting the stage for a solid opening weekend.
With positive word of mouth and rising footfalls, the comedy drama is expected to maintain strong momentum over the coming days.
About Jolly LLB 3
Apart from Akshay and Arshad, the movie will star Saurabh Shukla, Gajraj Rao, Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao. They will also reprise their roles from the previous instalment. ‘Jolly LLB 3’ focuses on Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi, who clash in Judge Tripathi’s court as they take on a new case.
The first part of ‘Jolly LLB 3’ starred Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles. The plot focused on Advocate Jagdish Tyagi aka Jolly, who takes up the hit-and-run case of six innocent labourers by going against the rich and judicial corruption.
‘Jolly LLB 2’, released in 2017, introduced Akshay Kumar as Jagdishwar Mishra, aka the new Jolly. Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor, and Kumud Mishra joined the star cast, whereas Saurabh Shukla reprised the role of the judge. The movie focused on a lawyer who wants to bring justice to the deceased victim of a fake encounter involving a corrupt police officer and a terrorist presumed dead by fighting a case against a ruthless and powerful advocate.
