John Wick 5 Announced: The movies in the John Wick franchise has set the bar high in the action genre. After making fans eagerly wait for its next part, the makers have officially announced ‘John Wick Chapter 5’. Keanu Reeves is confirmed to reprise the titular character. He will also be seen John Wick’s spin-off Ballerina.
Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson said, “From the moment Chad and Donnie pitched the idea of a Donnie Yen-style action film in the mode of John Wick, I was all in.” He added, “Donnie is not only an incredible, charismatic star, but a smart, cinematic director who knows how to deliver massively entertaining action for a global audience. We’re thrilled that he’s in the director’s chair to tell Caine’s story.”
“Keanu, Chad, Basil and Erica would not return unless they had something truly phenomenal and fresh to say with these characters and this world,” he also said.
Meanwhile, the makers have expanded the world of John Wick with spin-off ‘Ballerina’. Starring Ana De Armas in the titular role, the movie will focuses on an assassin, who is on a quest to take revenge of her father’s death.

Apart from Ana De Armas, Ballerina also stars Keanu Reeves, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus in the supporting roles. Keanu will reprise his role of John Wick from the previous films. The movie is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4. The movie will release in theatres on June 6, 2025.
For the unversed, the ‘John Wick’ franchise revolves around an assassin, who returns to his job after being faced to his past. The film series has four parts and a spin-off titled ‘The Continental: From the World of John Wick’.
