New Delhi: The first trailer for director Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming drama film Jogi, which is set during the Delhi riots of 1984 and stars Diljit Dosanjh in the title role, was released on Tuesday by Netflix. Three turbulent days of violence are depicted in the movie as three friends struggle to survive.
Jogi is seen eating breakfast with his family at the beginning of the trailer, which suggests that this is the calm before the storm. But the protagonist tries to flee the city with his family and travel to Punjab, which is the safest place they can be in, as gunshots ring through their neighbourhood, which is soon overrun by violent mobs.
