New Delhi: Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker sequel which has been titled as Joker: Folie à Deux finally gets a release date. The film is all set to hit the theatres on October 4, 2024. So fans, tighten your seatbelts, as the mega sequel might also see Lady Gaga as reported by Variety.
According to reports, the sequel will be a musical unlike its original version. Lady Gaga’s inclusion might very well be taken as a hint to it. Joker: Folie à Deux will be reportedly seeing Gaga in the role of Harley Quinn.

Joker holds a special meaning for Phoenix’s career given that the actor went on to win an Oscar for his performance as Arthur Fleck. The big announcement of the film’s release in 2024 was confirmed by Warner Bros.
However, the studio recently was in the news for cancelling Batgirl movie. Moreover, they are also dealing with the controversy around their another upcoming movie, The Flash’s lead star Ezra Miller.
Among the studios’ big DC projects, Black Adam is the most anticipated one and recently also had a special teaser release at the Comic-Con 2022.
The upcoming Jiker sequel will be directed by Todd Phillips, who also helmed the first movie. It is to be mentioned that, Joker bagged 11 Academy Award nominations.
Phillips will also be co-writing the screenplay with Scott Silver. While Joker 2 arrives in October 2024, Marvel’s Fantastic Four film has been scheduled to arrive a month later.
