If you have watched and liked Ji Chang-Wook’s popular drama Healer, you will definitely love his new show Gangnam B-Side, which is now streaming on OTT. The crime-thriller features Chang-wook as Yoon Gil-ho, a mysterious broker who controls the city of Gangnam and has managed to survive in the darkest parts, amid the most terrible situations.
Yoon Gil-ho joins hands with a detective and a prosecutor to chase after the parasites of the society and unravel a plot that might bring down wealthiest of the wealthiest in the city.
The series was invited for screening at the prestigious 29th Busan International Film Festival. During the event held between October 2–11, 2024, three out of eight episodes were shown to the guests, and received positive response. Gangnam B-Side was one of the six drama series in the On Screen section of the Festival to have the honour of being shown at the festival.
Where to watch the Ji Chang-wook’s new drama
The Kdrama has started streaming on Disney Plus November 6 onwards. As for the now, the makers have dropped two episodes, but one episode per week will be released every Wednesday. The show will comprise 8 episodes full of suspense, drama and thrill to keep you on the edge.
Besides Ji Chang-Wook, the show also stars Jo Woo-jin, Ha Yoon-kyung, Kim Hyeong-seo in the lead roles. It has been written and directed by Park Noo-ri with Joo Won-gyu.

Gangnam B-Side is the project of Ji Chang-wook and Jo Woo-jin together. They star actors had earlier collaborated for K-Drama The Worst of Evil. Talking about working with Chang-wook during a recently held press conference, Woo-jin shared, “When I first met him [during filming for ‘The Worst of Evil’], I was very shy. So it was really difficult for me to approach him. But now, we had good teamwork, we knew what to do so it was nice to work with him.”
Chang-wook also talked about his character in the show and said, “He carries on a very tough life to survive. Due to his relationship with Jae-hee, he starts tracking Jae-hee down to find her and really struggles. The character faces many points of transformation throughout the series.”
