New Delhi: Different names are circulating as contestants on the forthcoming season of the dancing reality programme Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as the anticipation for the new season rises. Shilpa Shinde, Dheeraj Dhoopar, and Amruta Khanvilkar have all formally announced their participation in the programme; however, a few others have not yet signed contracts. Singer Tony Kakkar, comedian-actor Ali Asgar and actor Sumit Vyas have been approached, but are yet to confirm their participation.

For the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa judges panel, actor-dancer Nora Fatehi and dancing superstar Madhuri Dixit Nene will be present. The ninth season of the programme debuted in 2016, marking the program’s comeback after six years.

Earlier, few rumours claimed that Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan and Kajol might lead the judge panel but no confirmation has been provided by the makers of the show.

Talking about the format of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, an assortment of dances are performed by a variety of celebrities and dance teachers in the reality programme. The Strictly Come Dancing programme on BBC One in the UK served as the inspiration for the format of the show. The 10th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has begun, therefore it’s time for the stars to dust off their dance shoes once more. Rumor has claimed that the forthcoming season will be spiced up by casting well-known celebrities as candidates.
