Jewel Thief Trailer Out: Saif Ali Khan is back on Netflix with his upcoming heist thriller film ‘Jewel Thief’. The movie also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead role and the two actors seem to be in cat and mouse game in this thriller. After creating hype with its songs and teaser, the trailer of Jewel Thief is finally out.
Sharing the trailer, Netflix India wrote in the caption, “Danger. Deception. Desire. And a diamond that’s worth everything. Watch Jewel Thief, out 25 April, only on Netflix.”
Saif Ali Khan is returning to OTT with Netflix after Tandav, which got involved in controversies. He made his OTT debut on Netflix with the critically acclaimed series ‘Sacred Games’. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he talked about how the OTT content has evolved over the years. He shared, “When we started off, we weren’t really sure. We thought there was more freedom (on OTT), maybe fewer concerns and rules in that sense. (After Tandav), a lot of people realised that there are certain areas you should stay away from. We were forming some kind of self-censorship, coming up with ideas on how to steer clear of controversy and just bring out a good piece of film. Earlier, we weren’t sure. So, in that sense, we are more aware of what the landscape is now.”
While speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Jaideep shared some insights about his character from the Netflix film. He said, “Jewel Thief is unlike anything I have done before. The character has a lot of shades and elements of mystery to him. The look is different than any of my other characters too and it was fun to get into the shoes of this role. The teaser has already sparked curiosity, and I can’t wait for the audience to experience the full ride.”
Jewel Thief will also star Kunal K Kapoor and Nikita Dutta in the pivotal roles. The movie will release on Netflix on April 25, 2025.
