Jewel Thief, starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead roles, has finally arrived on Netflix. This heist thriller has been hitting the headlines ever since its announcement and fans are also excited to see Saif Ali Khan on OTT again. Moreover, Jaideep’s stellar dance moves in the film’s song ‘Jaadu’ have been making waves on social media.
It seems like Jewel Thief will return for its sequel. At the end movie, it teases the sequel with ‘The Heist Continues’. Netflix is yet to officially announce the sequel.
While speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Jaideep shared some insights about his character from the Netflix film. He said, “Jewel Thief is unlike anything I have done before. The character has a lot of shades and elements of mystery to him. The look is different than any of my other characters too and it was fun to get into the shoes of this role. The teaser has already sparked curiosity, and I can’t wait for the audience to experience the full ride.”

Jewel Thief is also Saif Ali Khan’s return to the OTT platform after Tandav. He made his OTT debut on Netflix with the critically acclaimed series ‘Sacred Games’. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he talked about how the OTT content has evolved over the years. He shared, “When we started off, we weren’t really sure. We thought there was more freedom (on OTT), maybe fewer concerns and rules in that sense. (After Tandav), a lot of people realised that there are certain areas you should stay away from. We were forming some kind of self-censorship, coming up with ideas on how to steer clear of controversy and just bring out a good piece of film. Earlier, we weren’t sure. So, in that sense, we are more aware of what the landscape is now.”
Jewel Thief will also star Kunal K Kapoor and Nikita Dutta in the pivotal roles.
