This Friday, November 7, two major films are hitting theatres, Haq starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, and Jatadhara featuring Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu. Both films belong to completely different genres. Jatadhara, marking Sonakshi Sinha’s Telugu debut, blends mythology with suspense and features Sudheer Babu in a lead role.
Let’s take a look at how the film is expected to perform at the box office on its opening day.
Jatadhara box office prediction day 1:
Jatadhara has been promoted well, especially in South India. It is expected to do well in the South, while its success in North India will depend on audience reviews. As per Bollywood Hungama, the film may earn around Rs. 2-3 crore on its first day. The weekend collection will depend on how much the audience likes it.
Apart from Haq, the film will face competition at the box office as several other movies are releasing on the same day. These include Hello Knock Knock Kaun Hai?, a Hindi psychological thriller starring Dayanand Shetty and Sonali Kulkarni, directed by Prabal Baruah. Also hitting theatres is Jassi Weds Jassi, a Hindi romantic comedy featuring Ranvir Shorey, Sikandar Kher, and Harshh Vardhan Singh Deo, directed by Paran Bawa.
About Jatadhara
Sonakshi Sinha will play the role of the Goddess, who is created by greed. Sudheera Babu’s character will go against her in this mythological saga. The movie will use heavy VFX to showcase its narrative.
The film also marks Shilpa Shirodkar’s return and has a special appearance by Divya Khosla Kumar.
‘Jatadhara’ is directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal. Presented by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, the movie is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Prerna Arora, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal and Nikhil Nanda. The film features music by Zee Music Co. and is creatively steered by Creative Producer Divya Vijay.
