Jailer 2 Announcement Teaser: Rajinikanth is all set to return with the most awaited sequel of his hit movie ‘Jailer’ and has officially announced the movie with a teaser. On the auspicious occasion of Sankranti 2025, the makers of ‘Jailer 2’ dropped an announcement teaser, featuring Rajinikanth, Nelson and Anirudh Ravichander.

About Jailer:
Apart from Superstar Rajinikanth, the first part starred Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu and Sunil in supporting roles. Meanwhile, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff were seen in cameo roles.
In an earlier interview with Film Companion, Nelson Dilipkumar revealed that everyone asked him not to portray Rajinikanth as an old person in ‘Jailer’. He shared, “This is the first time I made him play his age, that was the major doubt in me because people told me, ‘Don’t make him play his age. Let him do whatever he has done already. Don’t grey his hair.’ But I was like, even if it has to fail, let it be with my gut, I will take the blame. I didn’t want someone to confuse me.”

He further talked about a scene in ‘Jailer’ where a dead body falls on the table. He shared, “I thought about staging that scene for a month. I wanted Rajini sir to be cool in that whole film. Rather than him fighting, whatever happens around him should be more interesting and never seen before in his films. I myself wrote the whole stunt and scripted the whole scene.”
The movie revolves around Muthuvel Pandian, also known as Tiger, who is a retired jailer and decides to fight against a powerful smuggler Varman.
