New Delhi: Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused in connection to Sukesh Chandrasekher’s money laundering case. The ED yesterday, named Jacqueline as an accused in the supplementary charge sheet filed in a Delhi court.
Now, in a recent development, the actress’s lawyer said that she was conned; that she was a “victim of conspiracy.”
In a statement, the 36-year-old actor’s lawyer said, “She has always cooperated with the investigation agencies and attended all the summons issued till date.”
he further added, “She has handed over all the information to the best of her ability to the ED. The agencies have failed to appreciate that she was cheated and conned into this matter. She is a victim of larger criminal conspiracy.”

Yesterday, taking to her Instagram story, Jacqueline penned a cryptic note, where she asserted that “she deserves all the good.”
Her note reads, “Dear me, I deserve all good things, I’m powerful, I accept myself, it’ll all be okay. I’m strong, I will achieve my goals and dreams, I can do it.” (sic)
For the unversed, Chandrashekhar is an accused in the 200-crore extortion racket. He executed it from jail by bribing jail officials in crores. The ED stated that he used a wide network to launder money and that he’d use it to buy movable and immovable properties.
Few months back, the ED attached assets belonging to the actor and also questioned her. The agency in April provisionally attached ₹ 7 crore assets of the actor under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

On the work front, Jacqueline was recently seen in Vikrant Rona, starring Kichcha Sudeep. The actress is known for films such as Kick, Bhoot Police. She also gave many other hits apart from these films.
