After the blockbuster success of Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the big screen with King, an action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat for a key role.
In a new development Jackie Shroff is all set to join the cast, according to Pinkvilla, inside sources revealed “Siddharth Anand narrated the basic world of King to Jackie Shroff along with his character arc, and the actor took no time to come on board the film. Jackie is all excited to embark on this action-packed journey with Shah Rukh Khan and the team. Jackie feels that Shah Rukh Khan is the most accomplished and large-hearted producers of Indian Cinema, and is looking forward to be on the sets on King.”
While Jackie Shroff’s character is kept under wraps his entry means fans will get to see the iconic Ram Lakhan duo back on screen together after years.
Pinkvilla further quoted the source, “King has one of the largest ensemble for a feature film in the modern times, as every character has been cast to perfection with actors who fit the bill to the T. Apart from this ensemble, King will also feature some more actors to play relatively small but important roles in the film.”

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors on May 18 in Mumbai, with major sequences planned across India and Europe. The film is reportedly to hit the big screen in between October and December 2026.
