Fans of the Kantara universe were in for a divine surprise on Rishab Shetty’s birthday as the makers of Kantara: Chapter 1 dropped a fierce new poster. This much awaited prequel promises to once again bring out the spiritual energy and cultural depth that made 2022’s ‘Kantara’ a blockbuster.

A prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, is directed by and stars Rishab Shetty. It is a period drama set during the reign of the Kadamba dynasty of Banavasi. The film also features Jayaram, Kishore, Jayasurya, and Jisshu Sengupta and is scheduled to hit the theaters on October 2, 2025.
