Amid sky-high anticipation, fans are flooding theaters to witness their beloved star in an unprecedented role, and their excitement is resonating in the movie’s robust box office figures.
On its debut day, the Ranbir Kapoor-led ‘Animal’ has raked in an impressive ₹34 debut crore through advance bookings nationwide, setting the stage for a blockbuster opening. Reports from Sacnilk reveal that ‘Animal’ has sold a staggering 1,352,578 tickets for its first day. Despite its extensive runtime of three hours and 21 minutes, the movie has secured over 16,000 screenings across India, projecting an estimated opening day collection surpassing ₹40 crore.
Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also scripted the film, ‘Animal’ stars Ranbir and Rashmika as a couple, with Anil Kapoor portraying Ranbir’s father and Bobby Deol cast as the film’s primary antagonist. The movie is set for release in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Addressing the film’s runtime, Ranbir Kapoor remarked, “The narrative of ‘Animal’ demands this duration to engage the audience. We watched the initial cut of 3 hours and 49 mins, thoroughly enjoying it. Embrace the length and immerse yourself in the ultimate cinematic experience.”
Meanwhile, ‘Animal’ is poised for a clash with Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Sam Bahadur’, headlined by Vicky Kaushal. The war drama delves into the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and features Fatima Sana Shaikh Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
