The ‘It’ franchise gave nightmare to the audience with the spine-chilling portrayal of Pennywise The Clown. After the release of its second part ‘It Chapter 2’ in 2019, the franchise will return with a series titled ‘It Welcome To Derry’. The makers dropped a thrilling teaser of the show that will feature a new cast but Bill Skarsgard will is confirmed to return as Pennywise.
‘It Welcome To Derry’ stars Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, and Stephen Rider, with Bill Skarsgård reprising the role of Pennywise. The show is confirmed to release on HBO Max in Fall 2025 but the makers are yet to announce its official streaming date. As per reports, ‘It Welcome To Derry’ is the prequel to ‘It’.

The series will be based on Stephen King’s novel ‘It’, which was released in 1986. The first part starred Jaeden Lieberher, Bill Skarsgard, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. ‘It’ focuses on seven outcast children, who are haunted by a mysterious being which emerges from the sewer and appears in the form of Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
The second part starred James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, and Bill Skarsgård. The movie is set 27 years after the events of ‘It’ and focuses on how the friends reunite to destroy the entity.
