After dominating the box office in 2023 with three consecutive hits, Shah Rukh Khan is all set for his next big move King. Reports hint that the superstar might team up with global pop icon Enrique Iglesias for a high energy song in the film.
Fueling the buzz further is Enrique’s return to India after more than two decades for his two night concert in Mumbai on October 29 and 30. According to entertainment sources, a meeting between the singer and SRK could pave the way for this much-hyped musical partnership.
The speculation began when an entertainment handle, Always Bollywood, posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Something exciting seems to be brewing, a high-energy track featuring Enrique for #SRK’s next biggie #King ?” The post immediately set social media abuzz.
Earlier, an insider from the film industry stated, “Most global stars have immense respect for the Bollywood industry, and it has become a trend for all international artists to meet with popular faces when they arrive in India. There is a high likelihood of an onstage surprise cameo at one of his shows.” While neither star has confirmed the news yet

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the movie reportedly stars Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff.
The movie reportedly faced some delays due to SRK’s injury while shooting. As per a report by Mid-Day, ‘King’ might release in 2027 instead of 2026. An insider revealed, “King’s team has hit pause on the shoot. Shah Rukh needs to rest it out for weeks before he can face the camera again. It is an action-heavy film, so the team doesn’t want to take a chance with his health.”
“The team is now chalking out the plan for the next schedule. Earlier, King was being pegged as a Gandhi Jayanti 2026 offering. That is not possible now; it may get pushed by months to have an early 2027 release,” the source added.
‘King’ will be directed by Siddharth Anand. The makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the movie.
