Is Samantha Ruth Prabhu jobless on account of her broken ties with the Akkineni family? While Nagarjuna dismisses this kind of talk as “irresponsible” and “damaging” an actor close to Samantha reveals that producers are shying away from signing Samantha in Telugu.
“It is true. Her prospects have dried up since she separated from Naga Chaitanya. Telugu producers are saying, ‘They (the Akkinenis) will get upset.’ The truth is, Nag and his family have nothing to do with the way Samantha’s career is going. They have no interest at all in what she is doing. Chaitanya has long moved on. So, it seems, has Samantha,” says the insider.
So where are the assignments? Apparently, producers in Telugu are shying away from signing Samantha, out of respect for the Akkineni family.
A leading producer in Andhra explained the “delicate situation” to me on condition of anonymity. “See, no one from Nag’s family has said not to work with her (Samantha). But producers don’t want to offend them.”
